On Saturday, October 2, 2021, at 10:00 AM, Real Bodies Experience will launch its new world tour in the prestigious halls of Palazzo Pallavicini in Bologna. This event marks an important milestone, as the anatomical expo, organized by Venice Exhibition and sponsored by the Municipality of Bologna, will take visitors on an exciting journey that transcends the limits of the human body, from mummies to cyborgs.

Moreover, the organizers explain that matching the extraordinary results achieved by the previous anatomical exhibition, which attracted over two million visitors by captivating them with the secrets of the human body, required a complete rethinking of the format.

Thus, the new Real Bodies Experience showcases unprecedented future scenarios of human evolution. The exhibition path includes the largest Italian anatomical collection of plastinated bodies and organs, organized into seven sections-experiences. Among the key innovations is the section dedicated to androids, which stands out for its cutting-edge nature. In a world premiere, the public will be introduced to the humanoid robot designed by Leonardo da Vinci, fully reconstructed by Mario Taddei, an Italian academic and one of the foremost experts on Da Vinci, as explained by Mauro Rigoni, CEO of Venice Exhibition.

Additionally, Real Bodies Experience, curated by Ilario de Biase and Luca Ruminato, is supported by an editorial committee alongside a scientific committee consisting of specialists in biomedicine, criminologists, anthropomorphists, anatomists, and the forensic pathologist Dr. Antonello Cirnelli, scientific curator of the anatomical section of Real Bodies. Numerous collaborations have been established with prestigious institutions and companies, including TAFFO Funeral Services, Össur, the Italian Institute of Technology, the Piaggio Center, and the Stibbert Museum in Florence. The Human Anatomy Museums of the Universities of Pisa and Florence have also contributed, enriching the exhibition’s collection with bio-archaeological artifacts and cutting-edge specialized instruments.

Finally, the exhibition, which has a scientific-educational nature, aims to engage schools of all levels in Emilia Romagna. A special price will be reserved for them, along with the opportunity to take advantage of expert guides for more in-depth tours. Additionally, all visitors will have the exhibition’s audio guide included in the ticket price, making the experience even more comprehensive.
