Until 1 February 2026, Milan’s Museum of Permanente hosted a retrospective dedicated to Jack Vettriano (1951-2025), a recently deceased Scottish artist who was much loved and appreciated by Italian and international audiences for his cinematic and melancholic works.
The exhibition, curated by Francesca Bogliolo and organised by Chiara Campagnoli, Deborah Petroni and Rubens Fogacci of Pallavicini s.r.l., in collaboration with Jack Vettriano Publishing and coordinated by Beside Arts, presented over 80 works. These included nine oil paintings on canvas, a series of unique works on museum paper, a series of photographs taken in the artist’s studio by Francesco Guidicini โ official portraitist of The Sunday Times, whose works are on display at the National Portrait Gallery in London โ and a video in which Vettriano talked about himself and his stylistic evolution.
