From Thursday 5 to Sunday 8 February 2026, the frescoed rooms of Palazzo Pallavicini, in the historic centre of Bologna in Via San Felice 24, will host the Open Space project, conceived by Pallavicini Srl with the artistic direction and curatorship of Giulia Di Terlizzi, created with the aim of enhancing and promoting contemporary artistic projects during the most vibrant period of the Bolognese cultural season.
The project is part of the official programme of ART CITY Bologna 2026 and ART CITY White Night, on the occasion of Arte Fiera, a period that attracts over 50,000 visitors to the city. In this context, Open Space takes place at a time of maximum cultural intensity in the city, which every year becomes an international crossroads for collectors, curators, operators in the sector and art lovers.

Press Release
The title Open Space evokes the idea of a physical and conceptual space that is open and traversable, conceived as a place for the confrontation of heterogeneous visions and different paths of research. The exhibition is developed as an expository device capable of activating relationships between the works, the artists and the historical architecture that houses them, generating a continuous dialogue between the stratification of memory and the urgencies of the present. The rooms of Palazzo Pallavicini thus become a field of experimentation in which contemporary art is called upon to measure itself against a context with a strong identity, giving rise to new interpretations and visual tensions.
Open Space involves galleries from different geographical areas: AD Gallery (Florence), BiART Gallery (Bagnacavallo) Cat Gallery, Musa Mรกlaga Exclusive Experiences (Spain), Ramini Art Dealer (Castel San Pietro Terme), UFO FABRIK (Trento), Wikiarte (Bologna). The plurality of exhibition approaches and curatorial lines proposed contributes to outlining a complex, non-univocal panorama that reflects the complexity of contemporary artistic research.
Alongside the presence of the galleries, the project is structured around two Special Projects by Franco Perrotti and Julian T and a series of solo shows dedicated to the artists: Fabrizio โBicioโ Cadoppi, Ilda75, Laura Pagliai, Loretta Merenda, Manuel Binda, Marilena Tesei, Massimo Amadesi, Silvia Ingoglia (Ginger) and Tinamaria Marongiu, offering the public the opportunity to explore individual poetics and specific research trajectories.Admission to Open Space will be completely free of charge, with the aim of making the project accessible to all and encouraging broad and cross-cutting participation. An observatory on the dynamics of contemporary art that serves as a space for meeting and sharing, where works, artists, galleries and the public can come together and enjoy an open, participatory and constantly evolving experience.
